How could have I forgotten?

Several people have mentioned that they haven't seen too much of the cats on the blog lately. That's because they are "senior citizen" kitties and they spend most of their time sleeping.

This is one of Sinda's favorite places to sleep - or it was until something became "unacceptable" and now she won't sit up there - she's been sleeping in this spot for about three months now. Go figure - but when you are 18 years old and a cat, you pretty much can do what you want.

You see, last week in the midst of all the baby excitement, I completely forgot Sinda's birthday on the 21st.

She turned 18 - looks pretty good for an old girl - can't jump as high as she used to be able to, which, luckily keeps her off the top of the refrigerator...

She also likes to find cozy places to sleep outside, and is rather fond of sleeping in this planter box. John has watered her on several occasions.

The other occasion that passed without much fanfare was our 14th wedding anniversary on the 23rd. I made macaroni and cheese for dinner - how un-romantic is that?

Oh, well, another year of peaceful co-existance. Happy Birthday, Sinda and Happy Anniversary to The Shepherd.

Oh how can this be that you are forgotten dear Sinda! 18 years is a real milestone birthday! Well look at it this way...it is better to be really loved even if the birthday is forgotten...and you and Neelix are:)
OH MY GOSH the Panda lamb is so very precious...you both must be over the top happy with this baby. SO sorry the other little angel did not get to stay.
Guess what...I fixed mac & cheese for our wedding anniversary dinner too!!! It was April 19. It is a good comfort food!
I so enjoy my visit with you on your farm.. glimpsing into your world makes mine brighter.
We went to Calvary Chapel on Maui and the preacher gave a most moving sermon on Psalm23...he compared us to sheep and now I have a better understanding on them for one thing. What a comfort to know that the Lord will not forget the lost one and seek him out. I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your furry tribe:)
Love Miss Peach

Happy Anniversary to you and The Shepherd! Wow! 14 years! That's great!

And give Miss Sinda a nice pat for me will you? And one for Neelix 'cause he's so cute!

Mac and Cheese sounds good to me! Especially when I know it must've been Dynamite Mac & Cheese from you - The Wonderful Cook that you are!

Wow, my DH and I celebrated our 14th on April 1st. I can't even remember what I made, but it was as romantic a meal as yours :)

A cat doesn't need to be 18 to feel entitled. Ask Charlie who is a mere three years old and makes me type over him on every blog I post. He begrudgingly accepts that he has to share his (my) lap with this infernal machine. Happy Anniversary - I salute you. I have been surprised at how the years creep up.

My goodness you have been a busy bunch out there on the left coast. I come and read and just giggle over the lambies. They are just the cutest little things. I am off to Maryland Sheep & Wool tomorrow at the crack of chickens. I can't wait. They always have lots of babies and wonderful rovings and yarns. It's truly the highlight of the spring around here!
