Pretty in Pink

The Star Magnolias are in full bloom right now -

It was a smart person who decided to make a pink one - they are so pretty.

Speaking of pretty - Here is the newest addition to the farm - Marietta's Krissie - She was born yesterday afternoon to Jewell - Unfortunately her sister didn't make it. The only thing we can figure out is that the (first timer) mom was too long in labor. The Shepherd thinks we're going to have all black & white lambs this year - so far we're batting 1000...

And speaking of black & white - here is "not so little any more" Wicket - Growing like a weed - he has more than tripled his weight since birth (about 2 & 1/2 weeks ago)

"Mommy, wow, I'm a big boy now! " Doesn't he look like he's wearing a jacket? I haven't been able to figure out if that black spot on his butt is heart shaped -

He never stands still long enough to figure it out.

They are out in the front pasture now. Sure to be stopping traffic on the corner.

"Race ya to the barn, Bode........"

Zoom, zoom, zoom..........

Cute! I can hardly wait for ours to come next month. :)

I am so sorry you lost the one lamb. Did Jewell show any signs of labor after delivering the first one? Sometimes they can be pretty hush-hush about things.

Sure looks heart-shaped from that angle! Congrats on a EWE lamb; so sorry about her sister. Is that the newest one racing Wicket out front?

So sweet. Very exciting about a little girl. Too bad about her sister. Wicket looks like he's all boy!

I'm not familiar with the star magnolia. It's similar but different too, from our southern magnolias. Ours start to bloom in June.

That is DEFINITELY a heart on Wicket's toosh. Glad Jewel finally produced although sorry about the first one. She's a cutie and a EWE!

So much cuteness!! I love the photo where he's running so fast he's just a blur!

I love star magnolias. I've never seen a pink one though. Very nice!

Enjoy spring!
