Eeek!

cat

OK, so this is how I felt the other day when I opened the shower door and there was a spider THIS BIG (ok, bigger than a quarter from toe to toe - EEEK!) If The Shepherd hadn't been sleeping, there would have been a big ruckus raised, I can tell you that!

So, my question is - where do tub spiders come from??? We do NOT have spiders in our bathroom, the tub/shower is a sealed unit with a glass door and because the people who made this manufactured home were basically cheap (cheap, cheap, cheap!) there is no overflow on the tub. So, where do these humoungous spiders come from?

Sadly for Mr. Spider, he was still there the next a.m. and all I'll say is that he went to spider heaven.

More funny (primarily cats, but somethimes they sneak in another species)pictures here ...

I'm not sure where our tub spiders come from, but I know where they go. Catzee eats them. She's never had one that big to contend with though.

You probably aren't going to want to hear this--but I think they are on the ceiling and fall in... :-0 I've seen one or two of the brown spiders ceiling crawling and then the next day there would be a similar spider in the tub. It gives me the heebie jeebies. I live in an older house and the spiders are a real problem for me. I carry a can of bug spray around allot! I'm glad to hear Neelix is gaining weight. Go little furry boy!

Well, evolutionists believe all the varied and beautiful life forms around us basically came from pond scum, so maybe they believe tub spiders come from shower scum?

Air. The come out of the air. Invisibles. heeheehee I don't like them either - especially the ones who come in on the wood we use in the woodstove during winter.

(And I DID post this evening!) Thanks for your call!

I know spiders are beneficial insects, yada, yada, yada, but they bite me. They seek me out and bite me and then the itchy bites take weeks to heal. I send them away, usually by scooping them up in the dustpan, with a clear inverted glass so I can see where their dark-hearted selves are and then send them swirling down the drain for the ride of their lives - also their last one.
