Fall colors in the yard
This tree is such an amazing color - the photograph doesn't do it justice. When I walk from our bedroom to the kitchen in the morning, the red shines through the windows like a beacon.
It's leaves blanket the ground underneath it - a carpet of red with gold from the ginkgo and other colorful leaves.
Like our Coral Bark Maple -
and this tree -
and this fine lace leafed maple
Gracie was perched between the bench and this plant - keeping a close eye on her brother so he couldn't do a surprise attack.
Rats, foiled again!

Love it, Tina! I've been walking my road in the mornings admiring the variety of leaves alongside and picking up the particularly beautiful ones to take home and display. I love fall!
I adore Japanese maples all year long, but at this time of year they positively make me SWOON! And you're correct; photos just do not do them justice....
Those are such beautiful colors. Just when we think the red leaves are our favorites...we see the yellow ones!
Our fall lasted about two seconds, then winter came in with the winds. That swift a change gave everybody's old bones a run for the money...we are still creaking about. ;)
Beautiful colors!
