Guess What?

What do you think these are?

There must be hundreds of them.

They are hard as rocks, then they are soft and mooshy.

Unless you can find one that is just right. They are very tasty, when they are just right... But mostly they are hard as rocks or mooshy.

What do you think?

A Blip on The Radar - bringing you pretty pictures and strange guessing games, celebrating my 500th post!

How time flies when you're having fun...

I know what it is!!! (Of course, I'd be disowned by family living in other places if I didn't know) :)

But I won't say if someone else wants to guess.

Wow, how cute, little baby Kiwis. That is so cool. The flowers are wonderful too. We are sweating like crazy here but the garden is hanging in there. Our heirloom tomatoes have been champs! Slow to produce but they are pretty and very tasty. They are so red inside, not like the tomatoes at the store. Congrats on the 500th post. Keep it up.

What happens if you pick them when they seem to be nearing ripeness, and bring them in the house? Will they ripen?

I have no idea how kiwis want to be treated.........

Seems like a really fun thing to have!

It looks like mini-kiwis but I've never seen 'em that small before. That would be a lot of work since I don't like kiwi skin - kiwi jam??

We picked some of those at a nearby farm last year, but there seemed to be hundreds of "just right" ones. So tasty, and no fuzz!

500th post! Wow! Congrats!

Those green things look like hardy kiwi. Not that I've ever seen one, mind you. I've just read about them.

Since the kiwifruit is out of the bag, so to speak, just letting you know I have a small cookbook of kiwifruit recipes. Just let me know if you need suggestions. :)

BTW - I found out early that these are kiwifruit, not kiwi. A "kiwi" is either a small, flightless brown bird native to New Zealand, or a native New Zealander. Just passin' on what my Kiwi relations taught me strait away.
