Dear Santa -

Please Mr. Santa, could you make all this snow go away?

Thank you.

Your friend, H.B.

P.S. I really like those blackberry flavored treats that The Shepherd gives us sometimes - could you bring me a package? I promise I'll share.....

Oh, H.B., I feel for you. I hope that it warms up some and that you get your blackberry treats. A very Merry Christmas to all of you.

Merry Christmas H.B. and all! What are these blackberry flavored treats? Sounds like something some sheepies I know might like! :-)

Well last night when H.B. gave me his message for Santa, the snow was on it's way out due to warm winds but overnight? We got another 6-7" of the blinking stuff - The Shepherd is not pleased.

Tammy - the blackberry treats are called Haystack Horse Treats - Wild Berry Delight. Manufactured by Haystack Farms & Feeds in Culver Oregon (541) 475-2319. The Shepherd uses them as rewards when he is halter training and for occasional treats or when he is trying to tame up new ewes. The ingredients are sun cured chopped alfalfa hay, ftuit bits and berry flavoring and they are pressed into little 1-2" logs. He breaks them up into little sheep sized bites and let me tell you, those little sheepies will just about do anything for a little chunk of one of these babies. T.

Horses love those treats, too! I rarely buy them because they are more expensive than others that the horses like well enough, but I might just have to buy a bag for the sheepies. :-)

Although from different places, but this perception is consistent, which is relatively rare point!
